Artist Statement:
Presenting the soul and
essence of the oil painting
with precise brushwork and
texture.
Realism does not mean pure
regeneration of what our eyes
saw, instead of learning how
and what to draw as a fresh
student, I spent much time
learning what shall not be
drawn.
When I am trying to recover
the solid figures from the
real life, when I am creating
three dimension depth in the
planar canvas, I found
something so interesting, high
level Realism is just the very
ultimate point of the
Abstract, and the concealing
of painting skill pursued by
the classicism is also the
actual ultimate craftsmanship
of painting....
