Welcome to Cherie Hanson's Portfolio. Browse Hanson's body of work: Art is a relationship between the perceiver and the object being perceived. With each use of the senses to experience the outer world, the artist manipulates and changes what exists because it does not, in truth, exist at all. All of the physical world is constructed by observation. I take photographs and then go on to recreate the emotion around what brought my attention to the subject. Filters used in my computer are no different than filters that exist in my interaction with the world. The fun is in really paying attention to what it is I am distorting.
