Kathryn holds an Associate of Arts and Humanities degree with honors from Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She studied at the New York State University at New Paltz, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1884, she procured a position of educator in Lake Havasu City, Arizona and completed her Master of Arts degree from Northern Arizona University.
